Job description

Manage the production team of the workshop

  • Plan and execute the worker engagement process
  • Pro-actively participate to implement the code requirements and developing comprehensive fabrication process, procedures & standards, and certification concepts for manufacturing of pressurized equipment (pressure vessels, piping systems, piping components, package units)
  • Procure and timely arrangement of the materials
  • Verifying supplier documents (specifications and drawings) w.r.t. fulfillment of project requirements
  • Ensure purchased equipment for compliance with standard & project specifications
  • Participate in the conformity assessment as per relevant local regulatory requirements (e.g. as defined by ASME, ISO, PESO & PED) for all equipment
  • Strong interaction with interface disciplines and project management to be proactively managed to deliver the products in time
  • Participating in updating and improving internal workflow and base specifications
  • Participate in regular internal audits, customer & TPIA control etc. from production point of view
  • Establish and maintenance of the workshop certifications like ISO 9001, ASME “U”, “R”, PESO, ISO 3834 etc.
  • Vendor control and expediting works as and when required
  • Participation in establishing of other international certifications [as required] like DOSH, MIGAS, SELO etc.
  • Looking after the commercials related to Material procurement and other required services for fabrication.
Requirements

BE / B-Tech/Diploma in mechanical Engineering with minimum 10 years of experience in the field of fabrication industry, where welding is the joining method

  • The candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience in a heavy engineering industry where EOT, mobile cranes and other material handling equipment are used.

The candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience in a pressure vessel manufacturing unit, preferably cryogenic pressure vessels.

  • The candidate must have hands on experience in managing production on shopfloor, handling contract labours directly, have knowledge on welding processes and pressure vessel code. The candidate will be responsible for meeting the production targets every month.
