Job description

ESTABLISH: They establish a media network (personal relationships) in all relevant fields – specifically sports and culture media to support the national communication targets and business plan goals. This also involves supervising and monitoring the communication agency on record, media monitoring agencies and external communications specialists.

PLAN: Supporting the Communications Manager in the development of a target-oriented, well-balanced annual communication plan that serves the local business needs best. They plan end-to-end communication activations for sports events like Campus Cricket, culture events like One and others, athlete projects, sports content projects like action clips and documentaries. They help develop customized communications plans in alignment with various marketing departments. The role also involves help in planning the appropriate media budgets and ensuring minimal deviations for the same.

PRODUCE: Following the plans they closely work with the team to produce locally and also internationally relevant top-quality sports still images and media products as per outlet requirements.

EXPAND: Help develop and enable a network of area specialists who work with core and mainstream outlets to create qualitative comms outputs. Focus on in-depth feature and trend stories that highlight involvement in various sports and culture scenes where the brand message is articulated clearly.

PLAYGROUNDS: Help develop playground-specific annual communications plans that address Cricket, Gaming, Music and Dance specifically at an overall high-priority level, and other playgrounds like Football, Motorsports, and Badminton at an always-on level. Playground plans will involve working cross-functionally across internal departments and with external area specialists to activate. Plans will include the depth of the marketing calendar including owned events, athletes, content and third-party activations

DISTRIBUTE: They distribute customized local content nationally to the appropriate and relevant media outlets in print, web, TV and their respective social media channels. They drive the usage of the Content Pool as a source for high quality media productions.

CONTRIBUTE: They act as a content developer and collector for the House, feeding requested information plus finalised editorially valuable productions (moving images, audio, stills) into the global Content Pool in time, according to its technical specifications and keeps all relevant materials updated (Content Pool and MediaNet) also delivering the requested documentation.

MONITOR: They monitor the quality and quantity of the generated results to fine-tune future approaches.

Requirements

Strong PR skills (Team of specialists, leading external media companies, freelancers, etc…) including strong writing / story telling skills.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Understanding the national media landscape (all channels: broadcast, print, web and new media), ideally already maintaining a strong network.

Editorial sense, content & story developer

Understanding of distribution (print, broadcast, web and new media).

Profound production knowledge (photography, text, moving images).
