Jacob Samuel

Jacob Samuel, Executive Director, Gi Staffing services, spearheads the joint venture of GI Group and Elixir in India. He started his career in Elixir in 2001, and has worked ceaselessly to stretch the borders of the business to evolve it into a modern, savvy and technology enabled organization, catering to almost all the recruitment needs of customers.

Mr. Samuel started with building the Analytics Practice at Elixir and went on to heading the IT Recruitment business division. In the course of his association with Elixir, he moved across different departments gathering a rich and varied experience, which included setting up of new businesses such as Gi Staffing Services, as well as handling various general management positions. As part of his general management responsibilities he initiated and implemented many programmes in developing internal HR, structuring branch finance control and MIS dashboards. He carries a rich experience of and exposure to a variety of business situations, many of them typical to emerging markets.

The strategic initiatives and structural changes subsequently instituted by him, across the company, helped Elixir to re-draw its boundaries and increase its business potential. Under his leadership, the IT and Analytics business units made significant progress in creating a strong focus and building profits.

Mr. Samuel ran a Paragliding club before he signed up for MBA from Pune University. Post MBA he ran his own Designing Company called Prelude Media Communications. He also worked on projects as a freelance Consultant where he did assignments for various clients on developing recruitment process, psychometric tests and training manuals, before joining Elixir.
